STORY

The beautiful wing colors of the female Mallard Duck are showcased a she takes off from the water surface. I captured this image while kayaking in Tennessee.

This image was selected as the 2023 January winner of the Tennessee Wildlife Federation Photo Contest and was featured in the 2023 TN Wildlife Federation Calendar. It was als apart of their end of the year 2023 fundraising campaign.
